What kind of carpets will be trendy<br />
in <strong>2019</strong>?<br />
First of all I want to underline one fact;<br />
Carpet is a visual product and in the consumer’s<br />
decision to make the purchase,<br />
the size of the factory has no role. People<br />
first look at design and colours. Fashion<br />
is also not a pending phenomenon.<br />
The consumer wants to see a difference<br />
every time. Based on these facts, we follow<br />
the latest trends in the world meticulously<br />
and reflect them on our designs.<br />
In the coming period, we see that the<br />
designs are in a soft but very colourful<br />
direction. We think geometric patterns<br />
will be one step further. In addition, the<br />
consumer is now moving away from the<br />
standard carpet size. They demand that<br />
the shape and the size of the carpet be<br />
unique to them, besides the colour and<br />
pattern.<br />

How do you assess Turkey’s position<br />

carpets?<br />
Turkey is one of the leading countries in<br />
the production of machine-made carpets.<br />
Already figures clearly reveal this<br />
fact. According to the International Trade<br />
Centre’ (ITC) data, Turkey is in the second<br />
position in carpet exporting countries<br />
after China. Turkey, 2.2 in 2013, 2.3<br />
in 2014, 2 in 2015, 2.2 in 2016 and 1.9 billion<br />
dollars in 2017 made carpet exports.<br />
