In 1983, Mike Roebuck completed college
and began working for the company. He is
presently president of Echo Maintenance LLC.
Echo Maintenance LLC was formed in 1987.
Echo is a merit shop industrial general contractor.
Echo’s ten-thousand-square-foot office, warehouses,
and equipment yard are located in Port
Arthur. Andy Brisendine, who is presently vice
president, was one of the first supervisors.
Several sister companies were formed in the
1990s and in 2004. Gulf Coast Fabricators LLC,
the company’s seventy-thousand-square-foot
pipe fabrication facility, is located in Beaumont;
Industrial Process Insulation, an insulation and
steam tracing company, is located in Port
Neches; and Gulf Coast Sheet Metal, a structural
steel and sheet metal fabricator, is located in
Port Arthur.
Total sales in 2006 for Echo and its affiliated
companies exceeded $115 million. The
company has averaged 550 employees for the
past several years, and is listed in Texas
Construction magazines as one of Texas’ top
hundred contractors. Echo performs projects in
Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico, and the
fabrication companies ship products throughout
the United States and internationally. Over the
past thirty-one years, the Echo family of
companies has completed thousands of projects,
with total sales exceeding $1 billion.
Noting that his family, especially Susie and
Phillip, has given a large portion of their lives
building the companies, Mike said Echo has
been fortunate to work for most of the area
refineries and chemical plants, and to have very
dedicated employees.
“We will continue to work safely and service
our customer base in the future, and we look
foreward to passing these companies on to the
next generation,” he added.
Echo donates to a vast array of local, state,
and national organizations, and is very involved
in sponsoring youth organizations.
