The commissioning of campaign volunteers can be as simple
as this:
Celebrant
Over the past few years our parish has been engaged
in a process of discernment about our ministry, our
facilities and our future. The outcome of that process
was the recognition that this parish’s future depends
upon our ability to support worship and ministry by
[repairing our building, providing more multipurpose
space and creating better physical
accessibility for all God’s people].
With the fruits of our vision supported by almost two
years of investigation and planning, we are now within
sight of fulfilling our goals. To do this we have decided
to conduct a capital campaign to raise the money to
help make our ministry happen. After much prayer and
consideration we have called this campaign
[“Forward in Faith”], to clearly describe our fervent
Christian hope and belief that we can [continue to give
witness to our ministry for years to come].
We now commission our campaign Visitors who will
undertake their ministry to visit each household in the
parish, encouraging personal financial support for the
campaign to build up our church facilities, in order
that our spiritual home might meet our ministry and
outreach needs.

forward and be recognized?
Visitors come forward to the front of the church.
Celebrant You have undertaken an important ministry in this
parish. Will you do all that you can to encourage and
invite the people of our faith community to participate
more fully in the life of our parish?
