About the Author
Michael O’Hurley-Pitts’ unique talents and skills have helped
shape the success of myriad projects for a wide spectrum of
Churches, social institutions and other non-profit organizations. A
respected leader in stewardship development, Michael has been an
invited presenter at ecclesial and non-profit conferences and
workshops for many organizations in the United States, Ireland and
Canada. He has also served as an expert commentator and analyst
for national news broadcasts in Canada and the United States,
where his opinions are highly regarded.
Michael served as the Stewardship & Development Director for
the Diocese of Armenian Church of America (Eastern), the largest
Armenian Church diocese in the world. He is also the founder of
Faith Matters, Inc. - an international stewardship, development and
religious, non-profit consulting firm serving faith-based charities and
churches. In the past, he has served as a Senior Consultant for an
international fundraising firm, and as a Development Officer in the
Archdiocese of New York. He has also served in positions of trust and
confidence in the United States Congress, and has won high praise for
his leadership as an Executive Director of a national non-profit
organization.
Michael has been regularly published in the professional
journals The Canadian Fundraiser and Gift Planning in Canada. In
addition, he publishes the online journal, The Stewardship Review, a
quarterly journal of Christian stewardship and philanthropy.
