Scent Sensitive Site Responsibilities and Expectations:
M.E. LaZerte is a scent sensitive site. We ask students and staff to be conscious of what
scents they wear (perfume, aftershave, lotions, body spray, etc.), to be aware of others in
their classes or near their lockers who may have allergies or sensitivity to scents, and to
make respectful choices for those around them.
School Resource Officer Responsibilities and Expectations:
Our school is fortunate to have a School Resource Officer (SRO). This officer is here to
answer questions and provide assistance on any issues regarding the police and the law in
addition to building positive relationships. The SRO adds to our safety and security in
terms of presence and information sharing. The SRO has the authority to press charges
under the Criminal Code and the School Act. If the SRO is not in the designated office,
contact can be made through the main office.
course choices and work options for students to take part in. Students in Grade 10 must
carry a full course load and are not permitted spares. Students in Grade 11 must have a
minimum of 35 credits. Students in Grade 12 are encouraged to have 35 credits. Students
who have spares can access Milton’s or the Canoe, the Library, or they can leave the
vicinity of the school. Students who do not use their spare effectively or appropriately
