<strong>Student</strong> I.D Cards <strong>Responsibilities</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Expectations</strong>:<br />
For security purposes, current student I.D. cards must be carried at all times as students<br />
may be asked to produce them by staff. The I.D. card must be presented as the barcode is<br />
used to access books, use chromebooks, for all transactions through the Accounting<br />
Office, <strong>and</strong> to write both school based <strong>and</strong> diploma examinations. The I.D. card must be<br />
h<strong>and</strong>ed in upon withdrawing from school.<br />
<strong>Student</strong> Services <strong>Responsibilities</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Expectations</strong> :<br />
<strong>Student</strong>s <strong>and</strong>/or parents can book an appointment in <strong>Student</strong> Services to see one of our<br />
advisor/counselors.<br />
<strong>Student</strong> Services offers the following services to students:<br />
Educational Counseling - selection of courses, program planning, graduation<br />
requirements, post-secondary entrance requirements, technical school<br />
apprenticeship.<br />
Personal Counseling - confidential discussion of personal <strong>and</strong> family concerns,<br />
conflict resolution/anger management, referral to other school or out of<br />
school services.<br />
Career Counseling - establishing career goals, exploration of occupations <strong>and</strong><br />
post-secondary programs, brochures <strong>and</strong> pamphlets on careers <strong>and</strong><br />
post-secondary institutions, career presentations.<br />
Financial Assistance - scholarship information, grant <strong>and</strong> loan information for<br />
high school, college <strong>and</strong>/or university.<br />
Tutors/MEntors - Academic support is available through peers, post-secondary<br />
study buddies, volunteers <strong>and</strong> tutoring groups, MEntors are student leaders<br />
who can offer guidance to students new to M.E. LaZerte.<br />
