Student I.D Cards Responsibilities and Expectations:
For security purposes, current student I.D. cards must be carried at all times as students
may be asked to produce them by staff. The I.D. card must be presented as the barcode is
used to access books, use chromebooks, for all transactions through the Accounting
Office, and to write both school based and diploma examinations. The I.D. card must be
handed in upon withdrawing from school.
Student Services Responsibilities and Expectations :
Students and/or parents can book an appointment in Student Services to see one of our
advisor/counselors.
Student Services offers the following services to students:
Educational Counseling - selection of courses, program planning, graduation
requirements, post-secondary entrance requirements, technical school
apprenticeship.
Personal Counseling - confidential discussion of personal and family concerns,
conflict resolution/anger management, referral to other school or out of
school services.
Career Counseling - establishing career goals, exploration of occupations and
post-secondary programs, brochures and pamphlets on careers and
post-secondary institutions, career presentations.
Financial Assistance - scholarship information, grant and loan information for
high school, college and/or university.
Tutors/MEntors - Academic support is available through peers, post-secondary
study buddies, volunteers and tutoring groups, MEntors are student leaders
who can offer guidance to students new to M.E. LaZerte.
