FOR STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS<br />
To complement this <strong>Guide</strong>, the Urban League of<br />
Louisiana is pleased <strong>to</strong> offer the<br />
NEW ORLEANS GUIDE TO<br />
HIGH SCHOOL WORKSHOP<br />
In this workshop, STUDENTS will learn:<br />
• How <strong>to</strong> determine what is important <strong>to</strong> them when choosing a school <strong>and</strong><br />
• How <strong>to</strong> set themselves up for success starting in middle school.<br />
For parents, the workshop will:<br />
• Facilitate comparing high schools <strong>and</strong><br />
• Provide tips <strong>and</strong> information <strong>to</strong> prepare the student for a smooth transition.<br />
For school administra<strong>to</strong>rs, the workshop will<br />
• Cover how <strong>to</strong> use the guide effectively in a classroom setting <strong>and</strong><br />
• How <strong>to</strong> use important features that will be helpful <strong>to</strong> students.<br />
The workshop can be as short as 15 minutes <strong>and</strong> as long as 1 hour. It is free of charge <strong>and</strong><br />
available during school hours <strong>and</strong> after school.<br />

PIC staff are able <strong>to</strong> conduct up <strong>to</strong> 3 workshops concurrently <strong>to</strong> allow for smaller<br />
