ADMISSION INFORMATION<br />

Requirements: Louisiana residents or those intending<br />

<strong>to</strong> become residents. Eligible students must be at least<br />

in 9th grade in order <strong>to</strong> begin the process. Acceptance<br />

is determined based on a review of the student’s past<br />

academic performance, overall character, motivation, <strong>and</strong><br />

perceived ability <strong>to</strong> successfully integrate in<strong>to</strong> the LSMSA<br />

community.<br />

Tuition: N/A. Approximately $1400 for housing, food,<br />

student activities <strong>and</strong> classes.<br />

Financial Assistance: Fee waivers are available <strong>to</strong><br />

families who demonstrate financial need; flexible payment<br />

options are available; not eligible students are turned away<br />

for financial reasons.<br />

Applications Due: While priority deadlines exist,<br />

applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the<br />

Fall <strong>and</strong> Spring semesters.<br />

Application Process: Complete an application <strong>and</strong><br />

secure teacher recommendations online (www.lsmsa.edu);<br />

submit LEAP <strong>and</strong> EOC test results <strong>and</strong> a mid-year transcript;<br />

register for the ACT or SAT (using code 6351 on the testing<br />

form <strong>to</strong> send results <strong>to</strong> LSMSA).<br />
