MISSION STATEMENT: JCFA’s mission is <strong>to</strong> provide a learning environment that allows our students <strong>to</strong><br />

develop their potential; <strong>to</strong> prepare our students for post-secondary education <strong>and</strong>/or the work force;<br />

<strong>and</strong> collaborate with community agencies, organizations, <strong>and</strong> institutions <strong>to</strong> meet our students’ needs.<br />

JCFA believes that all students, especially non-traditional students, are capable of excelling academically<br />

when given the support services they need <strong>to</strong> focus on their academic goals. JCFA students take<br />

responsibility for their educations. JCFA faculty <strong>and</strong> staff provide an environment of mutual respect<br />

where students can focus on academics without the distractions found in traditional educational models.<br />

The diversity of our student body is one of our essential strengths, <strong>and</strong> JCFA <strong>School</strong>s encourage<br />

school logo allowed). JCFA t-shirts allowed, purchase at JCFA for $5. Plain gray, white, Black, or navy sweater or<br />

sweatshirt, except item provided by JCFA or sweatshirt with a college logo. Khaki, navy, gray, or black cot<strong>to</strong>n/twill<br />

solid color pants or denim, capris, knee length skirts, skorts, shorts. No rips or tears.<br />

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS<br />

Students must complete all Carnegie units required for a<br />

diploma in the state of Louisiana.<br />

ADMISSION INFORMATION<br />

Requirements: Prospective students complete the<br />

OneApp process as well as the campus application. Students<br />

then complete a reading & math screener assessment<br />

(TABE) as well as a Pre-enrollment Meeting with a member<br />

of the staff. This meeting allows the student & a member of<br />

his/her support system <strong>to</strong> underst<strong>and</strong> the non-traditional<br />

environment. Following the Pre-enrollment Meeting,<br />

students attend orientation prior <strong>to</strong> beginning courses.<br />
