广告 • 城市 // CITY / MEET THE LOCALS By Brine Taz What has your experience in Hangzhou been like? I’ve been studying in Hangzhou (Zhejiang University of Science & Technology) for about four years or so. I’m also a keen dancer and I get a lot of pleasure out of teaching dance. What would you say to a friend asking about the city? Hangzhou is a peaceful and wealthy city that unites different kinds of people. I would recommend people to come at least once mostly because people here have great energy. The place is welcoming, like a home away from home. Tell us a little bit about yourself. I’ve been in Hangzhou for a little while now, I really enjoy the environment here. I like going out to bars and a few clubs with my friends and colleagues during the weekend. Would you recommend people to come to visit Hangzhou? I would definitely recommend someone to come here. I think it’s a very developed city filled with a lot of trees and water sights to go and visit. Summer is an amazing time to really go and give these water sights a look. What do you do in China? I’m the current administrator of the Hangzhou Writers Association. I’ve been in China for nearly four years now. Hangzhou is the greatest city in China, being as it was once the capital. There are lovely gardens and temples to see all around. What are your thoughts on the expat experience in Hangzhou? Hangzhou is a definite blend of culture and innovation. As the capital of Zhejiang, it is a great place to meet other expats as well as to experience the great cultural heritage in the tea villages, West Lake and the many Pagodas.
