When thinking of outdoor seating in
Hangzhou, Shangri-La’s Midtown Brewery
must be mentioned. Despite having a
plush interior of brick, copper piping,
and large wooden tables, the outdoor
area is arguably even better. Right in
the heart of downtown’s Kerry Centre,
this outdoor seating area is not only
classy, but it is also an excellent area
for having an expertly-crafted beer or
cocktail while watching people walk by
in the neighbouring pedestrian zone.
This seating area can be enjoyed any time of
the day, but perhaps it is best enjoyed in the
evening with a glass of their Brew Master's
seasonal creations when the nightlife of the
Kerry Centre truly comes alive. Other drinks
also available include cocktails and nonalcoholic
beverages. A live British resident
band plays most nights, plus you can enjoy
plenty of hearty dishes that are great for
sharing amongst a group of friends.

This sports bar and restaurant needs
to become the regular hangout for
those looking to watch any sporting
events through the summer months.
Ever since arriving in Hangzhou over
two years ago, College Bar has become
synonymous with sports, having stable,
live streams, English commentary and
large LCD screens on every wall.
In addition to this, the exterior walls of
College Bar open-up for the warmer
months, creating a seamless transition

Situated on the roof of PowerLong
shopping mall, CraftBeer Buyer is the ideal
spot for beer enthusiasts. With a trendy
interior that plays chilled music at the
perfect volume (a luxury in Hangzhou!),
the outdoor seating area consists of black
chairs and tables nestled between palm
trees and high-rise buildings. Boasting an
enormous selection of high-quality craft
beers from all around the world, the staff
are knowledgeable beer aficionados who
provide you with background information
as well as beer suited to your taste.
Although their prices can be on the steep
side, CraftBeer Buyer is for anyone who
considers themselves a beer lover. Some of
their recent promotions include, 'buy three
bottled beers, get one free', and before
21:00 draught beers are discounted by 10%.
