Art Fair East returns to Norwich<br />
The call for applications has gone out for Art Fair East, which is set to return<br />
to Norwich later this year. Art Fair East, a major fair for the Eastern Region,<br />
is inviting artists, galleries and art dealers to be a part of the event which<br />
will take place between 29 November and 1 December at St Andrews Hall,<br />
Norwich. This year the fair, which has previously brought signed editions<br />
by Banksy and other famous artists to the region, promises to offer the<br />
most international line up to date with enquiries already received from<br />
artists in India, Mexico, Sweden and Japan. Art Fair East is open to artists,<br />
dealers and galleries interested in exhibiting all manner of contemporary art<br />
including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video art, installation,<br />
performance and original limited-edition prints. All of the artworks must be<br />
one-off or limited edition and the closing date for applications is 31 October<br />

Peter Coker RA and Friends at The Minories<br />
This autumn Cobbold and Judd Fine Art present an exhibition exploring<br />
the work of Peter Coker RA, one of the most important painters of the<br />
post-war generation, from 12 to 26 October at The Minories, Colchester.<br />
The exhibition explores the links between Peter and his fellow tutors,<br />
students and friends, particularly those associated with the Colchester<br />
School of Art or based in Suffolk and Essex. It will include over 30 works<br />
by Peter Coker spanning the 1950s to the 1990s, as well as paintings and<br />
drawings by John Nash RA, Rodrigo Moynihan RA, Bill Packer, Simon<br />
Carter and Graham Crowley. It is a rare opportunity to view and acquire<br />
works in one location by these sought after artists.<br />

Lowestoft High Street Take Over<br />
Local visual artists group Easterly Artists is taking over an empty retail unit<br />
on Lowestoft High Street in September to stage an exciting pop-up art<br />
exhibition, showcasing some of the most creative artistic talent in Lowestoft<br />
and the surrounding area. Seventeen artists will be taking part in the show,<br />
including a number of new members whose work has not previously<br />
been on display with the group. Easterly Artists members are all practising<br />
artists living or working within a 20-mile radius of Ness Point. The exhibition<br />
forms part of the Lowestoft Heritage Open Day celebrations, taking place<br />
in September and based on the theme ‘People Power’. The temporary<br />
gallery will take place in the old Poundstretcher building at 165 London<br />
Road North, NR32 1HG. Entry is free. The gallery is open 11am-4pm every<br />
day Friday 13 - Sunday 22 September. For the following two weeks 26<br />
September - 5 October, it is open 11am-4pm every Thursday, Friday and<br />
