Halloween<br />
Get yourself down to Barnham Broom in Norfolk for a spook-tacular event this<br />
Halloween. Don’t forget to dress in your favourite ghoulishly wear and prepare<br />
yourself for a fang-tastic night. The night includes fire-eating, traditional stalls like<br />
apple bobbing, delicious food and live music.<br />
Ghost Tours<br />
It’s time to go and scare yourself silly! October is the perfect month to take yourself,<br />
your partner or even a small group of friends on a seriously spooky ghost tour,<br />
filled with malicious murder tales, creepy ghost walks and of course, lots of<br />
ghoulish fun. There are plenty of ghost walks and tours to experience across the<br />
region including the story of the headless ghost in Blickling Hall in Norfolk and the<br />
haunting of William Windham III at Felbrigg Hall.<br />
Bonfire Night<br />
Remember, remember, the fifth of November! It wouldn’t be an autumn experience<br />
without going to a spectacular firework display on Bonfire Night. A fireworks<br />
display is usually put on every year at Christchurch Park in Ipswich. It’s a fantastic<br />
firework display aimed at everyone and includes an explosive evening of music,<br />
food and lots of fun. King Coel's Kittens Firework Display in Colchester’s Castle<br />
Park is a must-visit. It includes a marching parade of Guy Fawkes and an amazing<br />
display. The displays have also helped to raise thousands of pounds to purchase<br />
resources and equipment for people and groups with special needs living in the<br />
local community.<br />
Colourful Walks<br />
Visit some beautiful National Trust properties to witness the incredible landscape<br />
of colour. From vibrant oranges, golden yellows, beautiful browns and vivid reds,<br />
there are many colourful gardens and walks to witness nature’s beautiful earthy<br />
tones. Dunwich Health in Suffolk is well-worth the visit to view the heathland’s<br />
beautiful autumnal glow. Dunwich offers beautiful walks and peace and quiet on<br />
the Suffolk coast. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for red deer too!<br />
Seasonal Food and Harvest Festivals<br />
This changing season offers some wonderful food and festivities around the<br />
region. <strong>Autumn</strong> sees the peak of harvest and the celebration of apples and<br />
pumpkins too. Go apple, blackberry and fruit picking and make yourself a tasty<br />
homemade crumble or pie. Visit the Apple Weekend at Blickling for freshly pressed<br />
apple juice, delicious autumnal produce and wonderful displays of colourful<br />
pumpkins and squashes.<br />
Pumpkin Picking<br />
Nothing screams October and Halloween than visiting a pumpkin patch and<br />
this region has lots of choice. If you live in or around Colchester, visit Foxes Farm<br />
Produce. If in Suffolk, you may enjoy Undley Pumpkin Patch and Maize Maze in<br />
Beck Row, Friday Street Farm in Saxmundham or Suffolk Food Hall in Ipswich.<br />
