Beds, Bucks & Herts
If you’re preparing for a big night out in the town head to
one of the many hair salons of Ware such as Blo by Blo
for the ultimate glossy blow dry or stop by a brow or lash
bar dotted along the High Street.
A girls trip wouldn’t be complete without a spot of
shopping. Hertford is home to a number of independent
fashion boutiques. You’ll find the latest trends at Ruby
Room’s and Pretty Lavish, which has recently launched
a collaboration with Instagram influencer Laura’s Little
Locket. Frankie and Olive has recently opened its doors
on Old Cross. The boutique sells ethically sourced and
sustainable clothing, accessories and homewares.
Once preened and dressed, head out for a night on
the town! Cocktail and wine bars are no short supply in
these towns. Book a table at a restaurant before dancing
the night away at the likes of Cinnabar, Deco Lounge,
Hertford House or vintage cocktail lounge, The Mixer, in
Ware. The next morning refuel in Hertford town centre
with brunch at Lussmans, The Snug or The Practitioner
which hosts a bottomless brunch on Saturday and
Sunday.
“A girls trip
wouldn’t be
complete
without a spot
of shopping”
With beauty, shopping, food and cocktails on offer,
it’s no surprise these two towns are popular for a
girls weekend away and hen dos. If you’re planning
on making a weekend of it, book a room at Hanbury
Manor Hotel & Country Club. On the outskirts of Ware,
the country house features deluxe rooms, a spa and
afternoon tea!
