Lifter • With the Coats Leverless
Bead Lifter, you can upgrade
your Coats Rim Clamp tire
changer APX, 70X, or 9024 and
let the machine do the work (or
new units with Leverless option,
see page 225) • The leverless
design eliminates traditional tire
tools that can mar the surface
due to application difficulty
or operator error. This results
in a more controlled mount/
demount process, flexing the
beads just enough
for removal and
installation

DEMOUNTING:
With the flip of a
switch, the leverless
tool hooks the lip
of the bead and
effortlessly lifts it just
above the rim. With
a simple rotation of
the tabletop, the tire
comes off of the rim

• The Coats Model 6000 tire changer is designed for servicing tubeless
tires. It can change tubeless truck tires in a matter of minutes without
the use of adapters, as well as loosen tube-type tire beads • Handles
wheel widths of 6" to 15" and diameters of 16.5" to 24.5" • Changes all
15-degree single-piece highway rims, including demountable Dayton
wheels, reverse disc Budd wheels and standard disc wheels • One
control stick for pivoting the tabletop and clamping the rim chuck
• Bead loosening, mounting and demounting are activated by dedicated
two-way pedals • Optional #183945 nylon head
combo tool available for aluminum wheels
MOUNTING:
The leverless tool can
also be utilized as
an additional helper
device when mounting
