At first, I felt quitelonely then that quickly turnedinto boredom. I got a call fromsome good friends checking up onme because essentially, I'd gonesilent. I found solace in maintainingdaily communication with people,and playing online games withfriends really helped me out ofthe one true prison: the mind.How doyou staymotivated?What really kept megoing was having peopleI could connect with.Looking forward to ourconversations on the groupchat and ignoring any onlineinformation about theproblems outside, as if it werejust a rainy day. Not that I'm anexpert, but binge-watching TVseries didn't help. In this periodI had time to finish 2 books andreally enjoyed cooking. The onlytip I have is to keep yourselfbusy with something, don't stayin bed the whole day becausethat makes your body lethargic.Clean, sweep, wash dishes,cook, do things that requireenergy and you'll feel good.What haveyou found tobe the bestway to keepin touch withyour friends?A WeChat shared call withclose friends still hereand many outside China.It doesn't really getmuch closer than that.Any advice topeople feelingout of touch withthe world andtheir friends?I’ve come to realise that thefeeling is mutually shared withmany other people, and itstarts with one conversation,anything related to whatyou like. Be fully in with thatone person, conversation orbook/movie and slowly letthat reach out to anyone elseyou remember and want toshare a similar feeling with.What do youenjoy mostabout stayingindoors?Saving money and prioritisingmy time. I can't indulgein random purchases, gooutside to procrastinate, oreat takeaway food anymore.Instead, I'm cooking formyself, and planning my daysto their fullest potential.What gamesdo you playwith friendsonline?I found some online cardgames, like 'Cards AgainstHumanity'.
