Lined up and decorated
around the cafe are vinyl
records, with their glaring,
big, shiny black discs.
The subtle lighting, open
windows where guests can
look outside, and moody
atmosphere captured the
spirit of the old times.
When I entered the sliding door of LP
카페소리 (or literally LP Cafe Sound),
I felt like I stepped into the past. The
first song that greeted my ears was
“You Changed My Life in a Moment,” originally sung by
Janie Fricke and released in 1978. A few more minutes
in, songs from the Carpenters blasted from the vintage
speakers, followed by famous tunes by Jimi Hendrix and
The Supremes. I ordered an iced latte, which, by any
standards wasn’t really something out of the ordinary,
but it’s the experience that made it quite different.
