Activities (minutes)

OPEN: (Approximately 30 minutes)

Welcome: Ground Rules with poster

Psalm 147: 3 ASL, discuss and pray.

Session Log: Romans 5:8, discuss and pray.

Check-In: use Wilma, to share: What grief work did

you share with your family this last week? What is

gratitude? For what are you grateful?

FOCUS: (Approximately 55 minutes)

(10) My Gratitude List: OS p. 34. It is a healthy habit

to “count our blessings” at the beginning of the day.

Gratitude is an attitude.

(10) Treasured Memories: OS p. 35. Record

treasured memories on the printed coins and cut

them out. Insert them into the treasure chest.

Discuss memories as griefwork. Discuss the value of

a “Memory Box.” See LG.

(25) Make a Memory Box: decoupage magazine

pictures and words that are reminders of the person

who died, onto a cigar box. While working, talk about

what can be put in the memory/treasure box, both

now and in the future. (E.G. - Valentines, Father’s

Day or Mother’s Day cards, memorabilia, etc.)
