Can you talk more about the process andinspiration behind your rug making?I’m living away from my parents right nowand I think I find myself making a lot ofAsian symbols in my rugs because I misshome. I feel cut off from my family, mycommunity, and my culture, so I keepreturning to these motifs as a space ofcomfort. Like I mentioned earlier, rugmaking is a medium that I’ve maintainedas strictly for me, and for fun, and so I feelfreer to just make things that are morevisually driven rather than conceptuallydriven.
