This project was the renovation of a footbridge. We<br />
worked according to guidelines set by the Lighting<br />
Master Plan for Osaka 2020 to design bridge<br />
illumination and equip surrounding banks with lighting.<br />
Methods were also applied to resolve glare in existing<br />
fixtures and unify color temperature in cove handrail<br />
lighting. Special seasonal lighting effects were also<br />
reviewed and synchronized with surrounding LED<br />
lighting.<br />

The renovation of the old hotel Iseya Ryokan in the<br />
Obama hot springs area of Unzen City started with the<br />
main entrance. Simple lighting methods were used to<br />
focus on the sophisticated lattice work and sliding<br />
paper doors and to highlight the family crest displayed<br />
on a large door to greet guests.
