During summer vacation, Shomei-tanteidan Jr. had a city walking tour at Omotesando
area. It was first time city walking tour with children. They tried to find their
Heroes and Villains of lighting and made a presentation with photos.

Light Up Workshop@Edo Tokyo Open-Air Architectural Museum
We had a children workshop at Edo Tokyo Museum which became our annual
event. This year, we had an experimental workshop using flash lights and 7
different colors’ filters to light up old building which used to be a public bath facility.

Tennozu Aisle is a popular waterfront area with easy access to Shinagawa St., Tokyo St.,
and Haneda Airport. Since its peak in popularity in the 1990`s, we decided to survey the
extend of the development along this waterfront property.

Compared to the same old downtown like Asakusa or Kagurazaka, Yanesen (Yanaka/Nezu/
Sendagi) has more cozy atmosphere where we can feel traditional `Japanese daily life`. We
investigated the active shopping street through residential alley to find `lighting feature of
old street`.

About 1.3km, the longest shopping street in Tokyo, Togoshiginza Shopping Street is
consisted of three unions. Each union has its own designed pole-lights and arches. The
survey is to distinguish the lighting feature for each union and the whole shopping street.
