2021 WYOMING NURSING SUMMIT & CONVENTION
FINANCIAL/BUDGET
Fiscal Year July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021
Written Financial Summary
Operating Revenues:
Membership Dues: With our membership growth, WNA ended the fiscal year ahead of budget by
$2,723.24. The association budgeted to average $3,833.33 in monthly membership revenue, and WNA
averaged $4,072.77
Convention: The 2020 virtual convention had a net profit of $3,580.01. The 2019 convention which
was in person had a net profit of $13,800.83
Nurses Day at the Legislature (NDL): The 2021 virtual NDL had a net profit of $6,818.19 and had
only budgeted to make a profit of $3,800. The 2020 NDL had a net profit of $2,281.35. 2019 had a net
loss of $11.28, and 2018 had a net profit of $3,286.10.
Print Publications: WNA profited an additional $1,000 more than budgeted due to moving to a digital
format.
Personal Benefits Program: ANA’s royalties have increased significantly related to this program,
resulting in $850.00 of unplanned revenue. In the past two fiscal years, WNA received less than $100
each year. Thus, we removed the line item from the budget.
Online Education: We did not budget for this but did a joint webinar with other ANA states that
featured a 50/50 split with Bonnie Clipper, and the association netted a profit of $238.50.
Operating Expenses:
We ended the fiscal year over budget in the following areas.
Postage: Over budget by $441.46 due to mailing membership recognition materials to award nominees
and rising shipping costs related to additional membership outreach.
Printing and Copying: Over budget by $204.53 as part of the same recognition campaign, and we
needed additional WNA logoed envelopes.
Publications and Dues: Over budget by $138.50 due to buying additional mailing lists for our
publications, resulting in additional revenue.
