The value of listening and building relationships<br />
Joan Wakeland is a Speaker and an International and US Best Selling Author. She is currently the Director of the<br />
Riverside and Hemet affiliates of the Global Society of Female Entrepreneurs in California. Joan is the Past President<br />
of the General Federation of Woman’s Club Menifee/Sun City chapter. She has dedicated herself to the <strong>GSFE</strong><br />
organization and the success of its members. She gives her time and talent to touch lives and make a difference.<br />
“That is her passion, making a difference.”: In her work she touches many other 501 c3 non profits.<br />
She serves on the <strong>GSFE</strong> Advisory Board. Joan serves on the Advisory Committee Circle of Promise Member for the<br />
Susan G Komen Foundation in the Inland Empire. She is also a member of the Menifee Valley Lion Club and on the<br />
fundraising committee for the local Boys and Girls club.<br />
Among her many awards are the All Women Rock 2019 Award in Orange County, the President of the United States<br />
Call to Service Awards from both President Trump and President Obama. She was also a recipient of the President’s<br />
Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015 and 2017<br />
Joan has received many accolades for her work in the local community. She recently received “The Woman of<br />
Achievement International <strong>2021</strong>“ title for her accomplishments.<br />
The Long Beach & Surrounding Areas <strong>GSFE</strong> meets the 3rd Monday of every month at 3:00 pm.<br />

<strong>GSFE</strong> dues are $50.00 a year. <strong>GSFE</strong>’s mission is to help women grow both personally<br />
and professionally, we have been serving women for over 48 years. There are<br />
