We welcome our new October GSFE members to our sisterhood.
Anika Alexa, South Orange County GSFE
Anika is the daughter of Maria Ortiz a long time GSFE member who
recently passed away. Anika is 17 years old, graduated last year from
High school.
She is recognized as being the CEO of Anika’s Peace Project, a non
profit organization she founded , which aims to inspire girls. She started
this when she was 11 and her sister was murdered by an ex husband, so
Anika’s first project was raising money for domestic violence, then she
started teaching youth as young as 6 on how to start a business and
did workshops and conferences. She also has done many other service
projects over the years. She is also a model with over 60,000 followers
on Instagram.
Her project she worked many months on does is that she designed and
published a beautiful binder called My Quinch collection, it’s like a bridal
book for young girls planning their Quinceanera. It’s beautiful and shares

She was listed as Orange County California’s most influential person.
and The Connected Women of Influence in California gave her their
first youth award when she was 16 for her work with domestic violence
and youth. She is also an accomplished speaker and has spoken for
hundreds of organizations in California on her work with youth. She has
also been presented with the Call to Service Award from the President
of the United States for her work with Youth. She has received numerous
awards from other dignitaries for her work.
