Upon my enter<strong>in</strong>g the ward a neonatologist takes me aside.<br />
He wants to share what had touched him deeply, only<br />
recently:<br />
A father <strong>of</strong> a premature baby that had just died <strong>in</strong> the<br />
<strong>in</strong>cubator, had asked him if he could take his son to the<br />
w<strong>in</strong>dow. When he heard he could, the father took his son<br />
and held him up to the w<strong>in</strong>dow pane <strong>in</strong> his hands, mov<strong>in</strong>g<br />
the boy from side to side and said: “Look, this is the world”.
