The women’s contribution is
not adequately appreciated and
highlighted. In the spirit of bridging
this gender gap and shedding light on
the presence of women in the field of
propulsion systems, driveline and product,
process and research engineering,
we are launching this new column.
The input comes from the University
of Coventry (UK), which on the occasion
of International Women in Engineering
Day (June 23) released five
tips for women who want to succeed in
engineering. The protagonist is Lorena
Caires Moreira. It is from her “voice”
that we share her journey as a researcher
within a British university.
