38.59% growth in the second quarter!

Adil Pelister, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the
Istanbul Chemicals and Products Exporters’ Association
(IKMIB), made a written assessment of the Turkish economy’s
growth data for the second quarter of 2022, announced by the
Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Pelister delivered in his assessment “After growing 7.3 percent in
the first quarter of 2022, our country achieved a stronger growth
of 7.6 percent in the second quarter. In sectoral growth, there is
an annual increase of 7.8 percent in the industry in the second
quarter. Exports of goods and services increased by 16.4% in
the second quarter. The contribution of net exports to growth
was 2.7 points. As the export leader, our chemical industry grew
by 38.59 percent in the second quarter compared to the second
quarter of 2021 and exported 9.27 billion dollars. Compared to
the first quarter of this year, there is an increase in exports of
more than 23 percent. As the chemical industry, we are working
to maintain a stable export performance. On the other hand,
we closely follow inflation pressure, parity and exchange rate
fluctuations, commodity prices and developments in the nearby
geography. Our exporters have the highest expectations in
terms of access to finance. Alternative market studies and high
value-added production investments are important against the
recession risk. The growth of our country will accelerate with
the investments and incentives to be made in the chemical
sector, which provides input to all sectors. For this reason,
we, as IKMIB, continue our efforts to activate the Chemistry
Technology Center, which will build the future of our industry.”
İstanbul Kimyevi Maddeler ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği
(İKMİB) Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Adil Pelister, Türkiye
İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK) tarafından açıklanan Türkiye
ekonomisi 2022 yılı ikinci çeyrek büyüme verilerine ilişkin
yazılı bir değerlendirme yaptı.
Pelister değerlendirmesinde şunları kaydetti: “Ülkemiz 2022
yılının ilk çeyreğinde yüzde 7,3 büyüdükten sonra ikinci
çeyrekte yüzde 7,6 olarak daha güçlü bir büyüme gerçekleştirdi.
Sektörel büyümede ise ikinci çeyrekte sanayide yıllık yüzde
7,8’lik bir artış söz konusu. Mal ve hizmet ihracatı ikinci çeyrekte
yüzde 16,4 arttı. Net ihracatın büyümeye katkısı ise 2,7 puan
oldu. İhracat lideri olarak kimya sektörümüz ikinci çeyrekte
2021 yılı ikinci çeyreğine göre yüzde 38,59 büyüdü ve 9,27
milyar dolar ihracat gerçekleştirdi. Bu yılın ilk çeyreğine göre
de yaklaşık yüzde 23’ün üzerinde bir ihracat artışı söz konusu.
Kimya sektörü olarak ihracat performansımızı istikrarlı devam
ettirmek için çalışıyoruz. Diğer yandan enflasyon baskısı, parite
ve kur dalgalanmaları, emtia fiyatları ile yakın coğrafyadaki
gelişmeleri yakından takip ediyoruz. İhracatçılarımızın en çok
finansmana ulaşım konusunda beklentileri bulunuyor. Resesyon
riskine karşı alternatif Pazar çalışmaları ve yüksek katma değerli
üretim yatırımları önem arz ediyor. Tüm sektörlere girdi temin
eden kimya sektörüne yapılacak yatırımlar ve teşvikler ile
ülkemizin büyümesi hızlanacaktır. Bunun için biz de İKMİB
olarak sektörümüzün geleceğini inşa edecek Kimya Teknoloji
Merkezi’ni faaliyete geçirmek için çalışmalarımıza hızla devam
ediyoruz.”
