Dünyada bulunan doğal kaynakların bilinçsiz bir şekilde kullanılması, teknolojide
meydana gelen gelişme, endüstrileşme ve hızlı nüfus artışı sonucunda kaynaklar
hızla tükenmeye başlamıştır. Artan çevre bilinci, azalan ham madde kaynakları, hızlı
tüketim furyası nedeniyle üreticiler tekstilde sürdürülebilir üretim yolları bulmaya çalışıyor.
Günümüzde sürdürülebilirlik, gıdadan otomotive, inşaattan enerjiye ve tekstile
kadar, birçok sektörde benimsenen ve uygulanan bir iş anlayışıdır. Üretim süreci
itibarıyla, dokunacak pamuktan kullanılacak ipliğe, üretim aşamasında kullanılacak
su miktarından elektriğe kadar birçok doğal kaynaktan faydalanılan tekstil sektöründe
de, sürdürülebilirlik önemli bir yere sahiptir. Dünya kaynaklarının sınırlı olması ve
gittikçe çoğalan insan nüfusu düşünüldüğünde kaynakların verimli bir şekilde kullanılması
gerektiği kaçınılmazdır. Sürdürülebilir üretim kısaca, üretim sürecinde yenilenebilir
kaynaklara yönelmek ve üretim faaliyetinin çevreye olan etkilerinden sorumlu
olmak olarak tanımlanabilir. Sürdürülebilirlik işletmelerin hem kendileri, hem de toplum
için önemli bir sorumluluk haline gelmiştir. Doğanın yükünü azaltmak için üretim
ve tüketim sonrası oluşan tekstil atıklarının da geri dönüşümlerinin yapılması önemlidir.
Geri dönüşüm tekstil ürünlerinin sürdürülebilirliği konusunda önemli bir alternatif
oluşturmaktadır. Bu bağlamda geri dönüşüm, teknolojik makineler ile kaynak israfını
minimum düzeye indirme çabaları kendini göstermeye başlamış bulunuyor.
Sustainable production in textile
The resources have started to run out rapidly As a result of that the natural resources
in the world are being unconsciously used, the development in technology,
the industrialization and rapid population growth. The manufacturers are trying to
find sustainable production ways in textiles with increasing environmental awareness
due to decreasing raw material resources and fast consumption trend. Today,
sustainability is a business concept which is adopted and applied in many sectors,
from food to automotive, from construction to energy and textile. The sustainability
also has an important place in the textile sector, in which many natural resources
from the cotton to be woven to the yarn to be used, from the amount of water to
be used in the production phase to electricity are being benefitted according to
the production process. When it is considered that the world resources are limited
and the human population is increasing gradually, it is inevitable that resources
should be used efficiently. The sustainable production can be shortly defined as
turning to renewable resources in the production process and being responsible for
the effects of production activity on the environment. Sustainability has become
an important responsibility for both businesses and society. In order to reduce the
burden of nature, it is important to recycle textile wastes generated after production
and consumption. Recycling is an important alternative for the sustainability
of textile products. In this context, efforts to recycle, to minimize waste of resources
and technological machines have begun to reveal themselves.
