What will I learn?
This is an ambitious new
course which will support you
to develop an exciting career
in healthcare, which is the UK’s
largest employment sector.
You will take part in a minimum of
315 hours of industry placements
which are matched to your career
aspirations, learning the practical
knowledge and skills as part of
a working team, some of which
may be based in NHS settings.
In college, you’ll gain the theoretical
knowledge of healthcare and apply
this understanding to your chosen
career route through practical
projects and demonstrations
in our clinical rooms.
Your progress will be assessed
through a combination of exams
and assignments. When you
finish the course, you’ll be able to
step into work, an apprenticeship
or progress to university.

What will I learn?
Our T Level in Science will
support you to develop an
exciting career in laboratory science,
which is a huge area of growth
both in the NHS and private sector.
You will take part in a minimum of
315 hours of industry placements
which are matched to your
career aspirations, learning the
practical knowledge and skills
as part of a working team.
In college, you’ll gain the theoretical
knowledge of the health and science
sector looking specifically at health
and safety, scientific methodology,
experimentation and scientific
techniques before specialising
in laboratory science where you
will further your development of
knowledge in areas such as the
performance of scientific techniques
to collect experimental data.
When you finish the course,
you’ll be able to step into
work, an apprenticeship or
progress to university.

What will I learn?
Designed in partnership with
businesses and employers, this
course will support you to progress
into an exciting career in healthcare;
the UK’s largest employment sector.
You'll study core science concepts
including the structure of cells, tissues
and large molecules, genetics,
microbiology and immunology
as well as a comprehensive
understanding of topics relevant
to working in that sector including
health, safety and environmental
regulations, and principles of good
scientific and clinical practice.
You will learn and develop your
skills by using a range of exciting
and innovative teaching and
learning methods including
projects, presentations, displays
and innovative use of VR bringing
your curriculum experience alive.
You will take part in a minimum
of 315 hours industry placement,
matched to your career aspirations.
You will also explore a diverse
range of job roles and occupational
areas working in health & science
settings which may include
up to two different employers
to widen your experience of
different services and sectors.
