English, maths and science.<br />
What will I learn?<br />
This is an ambitious new<br />
course which will support you<br />
to develop an exciting career<br />
in healthcare, which is the UK’s<br />
largest employment sector.<br />
You will take part in a minimum of<br />
315 hours of industry placements<br />
which are matched to your career<br />
aspirations, learning the practical<br />
knowledge and skills as part of<br />
a working team, some of which<br />
may be based in NHS settings.<br />
In college, you’ll gain the theoretical<br />
knowledge of healthcare and apply<br />
this understanding to your chosen<br />
career route through practical<br />
projects and demonstrations<br />
in our clinical rooms.<br />
Your progress will be assessed<br />
through a combination of exams<br />
and assignments. When you<br />
finish the course, you’ll be able to<br />
step into work, an apprenticeship<br />
or progress to university.<br />

What will I learn?<br />
Our T Level in Science will<br />
support you to develop an<br />
exciting career in laboratory science,<br />
which is a huge area of growth<br />
both in the NHS and private sector.<br />
You will take part in a minimum of<br />
315 hours of industry placements<br />
which are matched to your<br />
career aspirations, learning the<br />
practical knowledge and skills<br />
as part of a working team.<br />
In college, you’ll gain the theoretical<br />
knowledge of the health and science<br />
sector looking specifically at health<br />
and safety, scientific methodology,<br />
experimentation and scientific<br />
techniques before specialising<br />
in laboratory science where you<br />
will further your development of<br />
knowledge in areas such as the<br />
performance of scientific techniques<br />
to collect experimental data.<br />
When you finish the course,<br />
you’ll be able to step into<br />
work, an apprenticeship or<br />
progress to university.<br />

businesses and employers, this<br />
course will support you to progress<br />
into an exciting career in healthcare;<br />
the UK’s largest employment sector.<br />
You'll study core science concepts<br />
including the structure of cells, tissues<br />
and large molecules, genetics,<br />
microbiology and immunology<br />
as well as a comprehensive<br />
understanding of topics relevant<br />
to working in that sector including<br />
health, safety and environmental<br />
regulations, and principles of good<br />
scientific and clinical practice.<br />
You will learn and develop your<br />
skills by using a range of exciting<br />
and innovative teaching and<br />
learning methods including<br />
projects, presentations, displays<br />
and innovative use of VR bringing<br />
your curriculum experience alive.<br />
You will take part in a minimum<br />
of 315 hours industry placement,<br />
matched to your career aspirations.<br />
You will also explore a diverse<br />
range of job roles and occupational<br />
areas working in health & science<br />
settings which may include<br />
up to two different employers<br />
to widen your experience of<br />
different services and sectors.<br />
