What will I learn?<br />
You will study an Extended Diploma<br />
in Engineering Technologies<br />
where you will gain knowledge in<br />
engineering principles including<br />
engineering and environmental<br />
health and safety as well as<br />
engineering organisational<br />
efficiency and improvement.<br />
You'll learn computer aided control<br />
(CAD), computer numerical control<br />
(CNC), programme logic controllers<br />
(PLC) and electrical installation.<br />
Once you have completed<br />
this course you can secure an<br />
apprenticeship, progress into<br />
employment, higher education or<br />
study a Higher National Certificate<br />
(HNC) with us.<br />
On all our Engineering<br />
Level 3 courses,<br />
you'll complete a<br />
work experience placement<br />
with an engineering<br />
employer to get you<br />

What will I learn?<br />
Get started on your career in<br />
engineering and manufacturing<br />
with this T Level. It has been<br />
developed in collaboration with<br />
employers and professional bodies<br />
which will give you the essential<br />
practical and theoretical skills to<br />
work in the engineering industry.<br />
You'll develop an in-depth<br />
understanding of how<br />
the engineering industry works,<br />
principles of engineering design<br />
and manufacture, manufacturing<br />
techniques, theories of mechanical<br />
engineering and a wide range of<br />
practical engineering skills.<br />
As this course is a T Level, you'll<br />
spend 80% of your time at<br />
college studying and 20% on an<br />
industry placement, where you will<br />
put what you have been learning in<br />
the classroom into practice with an<br />
employer.<br />

Installation and Repair for<br />
Engineering and Manufacturing<br />

What will I learn?<br />
Developed in collaboration with<br />
employers, this T Level will give<br />
you the essential practical and<br />
theoretical skills to start you career<br />
in maintenance engineering and<br />
manufacturing.<br />
Designed to meet the demands of<br />
the sector, you’ll develop an in-depth<br />
understanding of maintenance,<br />
installation and repair requirements,<br />
fault detection and diagnosis,<br />
isolation and resolution methods and<br />
communication for maintenance,<br />
installation and repair activities.<br />
You’ll also get the opportunity to<br />
put into practice what you learn<br />
at college during an industry<br />
placement of up to 45 days. Your<br />
placement will give you a fantastic<br />
opportunity to experience work in<br />
the engineering and manufacturing<br />
sector gaining invaluable hands-on<br />
