Five GCSEs at 5 or above in
English, maths and science.
What will I learn?
You’ll spend 315 to 750 hours
on industry placements with
employers, working as part
of a team and learning the
practical skills needed for jobs
in early years and childcare.
You’ll cover the knowledge portion
of the course, learning through
projects, presentations and
innovative technology such as
virtual reality. You'll also complete
a paediatric first aid course to
further strengthen your CV.
On completion of the T Level,
you’ll have the required license to
practice at Level 3 which means
you can seek work as a Teaching
Assistant or a fully qualified Level
3 Early Years Practitioner.

What will I learn?
This course will provide you
with the knowledge and skills
required to work with children 0-5
years and additional knowledge
of children 5-7 years. You will
complete a minimum of 350
hours industry placement,
working alongside experienced
Early Years Practitioners in
education and childcare settings.
In doing so you will gain valuable
practical skills and experience
needed to work with children.
You will be involved in many
practical sessions including care
routines, healthy eating and craft
activities for young children. Many
of these lessons will take place
in our dedicated early years
learning suite which provides
simulated nursery experiences.
On completion of this course
you will have achieved the
required license to
practice as a Level 3
Early Years Educator.
T Levels are a new type of practical qualification
designed by leading businesses.
You’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom and
20% on an industrial placement with one or more
of our education and childcare
partner employers.
