Two GCSEs at 3 or above, ideally<br />
including English and maths or<br />

What will I learn?<br />
This course is ideal for those<br />
wanting to enter the plumbing<br />
industry. You’ll have the opportunity<br />
to pick up some core knowledge<br />
and skills in basic plumbing,<br />
enabling you to progress onto the<br />
Level 2 course.<br />
You’ll cover a variety of topics<br />
including carrying out safe<br />
working practices, understanding<br />
fundamental scientific principles<br />
within building services engineering<br />
and understanding low carbon steel<br />
pipe fabrication work for domestic<br />
plumbing systems.<br />
Receive a weekly tutorial, take part<br />
in course enrichment activities and<br />
study English and maths at your<br />
appropriate level.<br />
Plumbing Studies<br />
Level 2<br />
Duration<br />
1 year<br />
Entry requirements<br />
Two GCSEs at 4 or above in English<br />
and maths.<br />
What will I learn?<br />
If you’d like to become a plumber,<br />
this course will give you an insight<br />
to the plumbing industry gaining<br />
the technical knowledge and<br />
skills required to undertake basic<br />
domestic plumbing work, including<br />
cold and hot water systems,<br />
sanitation and central heating.<br />
You’ll also gain an understanding<br />
of the importance of health and<br />
safety within the industry and will be<br />
able to take part in valuable work<br />
experience placements.<br />
Electro Technical<br />
Installation<br />
Level 2<br />
Duration<br />
1 year<br />
Entry requirements<br />
Two GCSEs at 4 or above, including<br />
English and maths.<br />
What will I learn?<br />
If you’d like to be an electrician,<br />
this course will give you an insight<br />
to the electrical industry gaining<br />
the technical knowledge and<br />
skills required to undertake basic<br />
domestic electrical work.<br />
You'll get to grips with lighting<br />
circuits, ring final circuits, cable<br />
sizing and how to add additional<br />
circuits to existing installations.<br />
You'll also gain an understanding<br />
of the importance of health and<br />
safety within the industry and<br />
have the chance to take part<br />
in valuable work experience.<br />
Don't worry if you<br />
haven't got a<br />
4 in maths and<br />
English, we will help you<br />
achieve these as part<br />
of your course.<br />
