Do You Believe?<br />
Icertainly do! I believe in the magic of holidays. There<br />
is something very special about the last six weeks of<br />
every year. We prepare to visit or host family from<br />
near or far, we enjoy shopping for people we love, we<br />
become more aware of those in need and give, and we are<br />
reminded of how lucky we are… Yes – to me the holidays<br />
are magical. And during the holidays, Delray is extra special.<br />
There is the 100ft Christmas Tree with Santa at Old School<br />
Square that was named the best tree in Florida by Travel and<br />
Leisure in 2016, the Annual Boat Parade, the Grand Menorah<br />
Lighting at Old School Square, and a Family Friendly New<br />
Year’s Eve with fireworks to name a few! More details on<br />
these events and more inside this issue.<br />
There’s a new Chief in town! Allow us to introduce our<br />
new Chief of Police Russ Mager. He is a 26-year veteran<br />
of our police force and is deeply committed to serving<br />
our community! Read all about Chief Mager and all he’s<br />
accomplished in our regular feature City People.<br />
