ICE ISLAND PLANKTON SAMPLES SUMMARY SHEET The calanoid copepod species Calanus hyperboreus, C. ~lacialis and Metridia lon~k in that order of importance, are the dominant species in most of these samples in terms of their contribution to the biomass. They are also numerically dominant in the 460 pm mesh samples and probably so in the 253 pm mesh samples.
