Nurseries are probably one of the least publicised aspects of the wine industry. And<br />
yet, they play a pivotal role at the production end of the entire industry, providing<br />
winegrowers across the globe with international cultivars, massal selections and<br />
resistant vines. We travelled to Vix in the Vendée, the home of the Mercier vine<br />
nursery whose expertise spans over 130 years, to find out more about a profession<br />
that nurtures the entire wine industry.<br />
