NELSON VALDERRAMA WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTION: WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN 2030 from page 142
And it became clear that most had yet to take
advantage of the substantial technological investment.
We tasked Regional Sales Coordinators
with driving home the unique utility offered by the
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
system installed in 2026. Thanks to these advanced
technologies, salespeople had everything necessary
at their fingertips. The AI/ML model consumed and
processed the company’s historical sales data.
¤ With that core information, the system could
optimize inventory to avoid stockouts and reduce
excess items. This assured better cash flow because it
also anticipated seasonal and customer-critical needs.
¤ The algorithms would process millions of
calculations and integrate the data with customer
behavior, economic and industrial trends, and competitor
activities to optimize pricing.
The AI/ML pulled data from every warehouse
process, procurement results, and delivery output to
eliminate paper, initiate digital purchase orders, and
recommend customer-targeted pricing. Relieved of
administrative tasks, salespeople could focus on their
accountability to increase revenues.
The Future Of Wholesale Distribution Is
Here!
From predicting shifts in consumer demand to
identifying operational inefficiencies, businesses that
leverage big data analytics to make informed decisions
will surpass their competitors. Skills and talent will
redesign the work and drive innovative machines to
sustain profit margins. Only the private sector has the
power to revamp and engage the skills of the current
workforce, leading to higher employee productivity.
