MAFDA CONNECTING ALL ASPECTS OF THE FASTENER INDUSTRY! from page 175
As one of the main programs the MAFDA has
focused on, we have tracked many of the recipients
of the benefits and see success as company owners,
professionals in varied fields and the vast majority
having a career in their chosen field. The return from the
program has been overwhelming and we look forward to
expanding our reach over the next two decades! One of
our goals is to make sure all of the families involved
in our organization has access to higher education or
career development.
The calendar for 2023 has been quite full with
past social events at both the Flyers Game and a
Phillies game. Our gatherings have provided fantastic
opportunities for suppliers, importers and distributors
to come together and build stronger relations. First,
we witnessed the Flyers’ triumphant victory against the
Montreal Canadians with a final score of 3-2 ending in
a thrilling shootout. Moreover, the Phillies’ impressive
8-3 win against the Detroit Tigers in June made for an
unforgettable moment for baseball fans.
The 20th Annual Anniversary Golf Outing at the
Downingtown Country Club, with a fantastic attendance,
turned out to be a beautiful day with lots of golf contests
and prizes. The day culminated with a full dinner and
scholarship awards being handed out. Families were
proudly in attendance to see the children receive their
awards and begin a new future.
As we look forward to the upcoming months, we
are excited to share details about our annual Christmas
party. Once again the MAFDA is going all out with a full
cocktail hour with butlered hors d’oeuvres, a four hour
open bar, a full three course sit-down dinner and a
desert course to top the feast. Mark your calendars for
December 14th at the Gold Ballroom, Mendenhall Inn.
A photographer will be there to offer free pictures to all
to mark the occasion, and prizes will be awarded after
dinner.

Located just minutes from our Christmas party
is Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square. We suggest
attendees reserve timed tickets far in advance to see
the memorizing Christmas lights and decorations before
joining us for dinner at 6:30pm.

We sincerely appreciate all of our members for
being an integral part of our association’s success. You
active participation and engagements are what makes
these events so enjoyable. As we continue to grow and
improve, we warmly welcome your ongoing support and
involvement.
