GATE OPEN SINCE JULY
Iveco Group has come up with a pay-per-use formula,
open to everyone regardless of the number of vehicles and
with a minimum contractual term of 3 years, with the aim
of accompanying actual and potential customers toward
alternative tractions. The company opened its door (GATE
stands for Green & Advanced Transport Ecosystem) no later
than last July. “It is a company founded by Iveco Group
in 2022”, they say from the new Turin-based organization
of Iveco’s world, “with the aim of promoting sustainable
mobility of commercial vehicles through the premium offer
of services related to long-term, fully digital rental. It is a
new business model open to all companies, brands and
partners who aspire to participate in this environmental
revolution”. The services that GATE makes available
to customers include vehicle maintenance and repair;
management of car tax and insurance charges; e-charge
for public charging; e-mobility for all telematics services
available on the vehicle; and, finally, tire service.

The electric motor is powered by modular
batteries with 37 kWh capacity each, high energy
density (265 watt-hours/kg per cell) and
95 percent exploitable capacity. In the eDaily
versions equipped with a single battery, the
power output is 136 horsepower, rising to the
190-horsepower threshold in versions equipped
with two or three modules.
No range anxiety issues anymore
What about the range? In all cases, it is extremely
generous for daily missions, with
IVECO claiming up to a maximum of 400
kilometers in the urban cycle: a distance that
takes away any anxiety about recharging. By
the way, for refueling there is the usual wide
albeit classic range of solutions. And with the
80-kilowatt fast charge, one hundred kilometers
of range is recovered in half an hour.
In the vicinity of Turin, we were able to
test the 38S 14EV version (so, 3.8 tons, single
wheels, 190 horsepower) equipped with two
batteries. An experience, however brief, that
confirmed the Daily’s qualities even in full
electric version. Comfort and quietness, as
well as cueing and drivability, are remarkable.
In addition, there are two gems: the Driving
Mode Selector, which allows to optimize energy
management by choosing between Natural,
Power, Eco driving modes.
On the other hand, One-Pedal drive allows
you to manage deceleration using just the accelerator.

option for deliveries
where long range
with high payload
is necessary.
