Modular cabinet structure
The Freenet Expert Line (EL) for server rooms
consists of the base frame, supplemented by
a multifunctional strut, which connects the
outer profile with the 19" profiles halfway up.
Thanks to this expansion, a payload weight of
up to 1,200 kg is possible.
Complete cabinet family
The developers at R&M have come up
with a lot more for the third Freenet Line
Superior for data center applications, thus
completing the range. A robust construction
forms the foundation. Additional cross rails
increase the load capacity from 800 kg to
up to 1,500 kg, ensuring stability and safety
even for heavier devices and as the number
of network components increases. Cold/hot
separation, or efficient heat dissipation, is another
important aspect. Fans and perforated
doors ensure optimum cooling. Pre-installed
thermostats regulate the fans according to
the cabinet temperature, which improves
power consumption.
All-in-one solution as a concept
In addition to conventional LAN and server
applications, the cabinet concept also
raises enclosure solutions for data center
applications to a new level. Thanks to its
simplified installation and handling, the new
cabinet generation is enjoying a high level
of acceptance among end users, in projects
and among distributors. A key aspect of the
all-in-one solution is the fact that it can be
easily retrofitted for different applications,
whether for simple data networks or complex
enclosures in the data center.
Patch cord management
and accessories
The R&M developers were also highly
committed to integrated vertical patch cord
management, which enables orderly routing
of patch cords and thus combines cabinet
and cable expertise in a single system for the
first time. This clever solution offers a number
of advantages, such as faster fault detection,
clear routing and storage of the patch cords
as well as the definitive end of chaos in the
network rack.

Customers have the choice: On request, the
Freenet cabinet can be delivered as a flat pack
or pre-assembled.
