This report is part of a series published by the Center for Work-Life Policy on
female talent in emerging markets. The first of these, The Battle for Female Talent in
Emerging Markets (June 2010), applies a comparative lens to the four largest emerging
markets—Brazil, Russia, India and China, also known as the BRIC economies—as
well as the United Arab Emirates as an entry point to the Middle East. This appendix
includes many data points from The Battle for Female Talent in Brazil together with
data for the other BRIC geographies and the UAE. It is intended to provide a broader
context for the analysis of country-specific themes; for analysis of the full data set
