window or a patio door left ajar are an invitation to
burglars. WaveLINE replaces your last-minute check
and guarantees security.
The WaveLINE window
position sensor, which
recognises the position
of the window handle
and transmits it by radio
signal, is fitted between
the window handle and
the window frame. The
existing handle can continue
to be used and
additional mounting is not
required. All components
required for installation
and operation are
included in the scope of
delivery. A battery is also
provided – so the system
is ready for operation
immediately. The information
is provided on an
easy-to-view information
and control element. It
has a display with four
LEDs. Up to eight window
position sensors can
be connected to a single
LED. In that way, either
individual windows or
complete rooms or floors
can be monitored with
only one indicator LED.
If the LED display is fitted
to an FM insert
from the KNX world, the
device functions as a
gateway. It passes the
information that is
recorded by the window
position sensor and
transmitted by radio to
the control element to
the KNX. Also the local
function of the rocker
switch is transmitted
and carried out via the
KNX. The display/control

LED, the group is networked
automatically.
A practical group could
be, for example, the windows
of one floor.
The LEDs indicate the
following:
• All the windows in
one group are closed:
LED green
• At least one window
is tilted:
Yellow LED
• At least one window
of the group is open:
LED red
Attention is also drawn
to a battery losing its
power or faulty window
position sensors by a
flashing light.
