The line coupler is used to connect KNX lines or areas<br />
in larger installations. In the process, the lines/areas are<br />
galvanically isolated from each other. At the same time,<br />
telegrams can be fi ltered to reduce the telegram traffi c<br />

The IP router is the interface between KNX installations<br />
and IP networks. It can be used as a fast line or area<br />
coupler and thus as a local area network (LAN) for the fast<br />
exchange of telegrams between the lines/areas. With ETS<br />
3.0, KNX devices can be programmed via LAN. The device<br />
uses the KNXnet/IP protocol of the KNX association<br />
(routing and tunnelling). The IP address of the IG/S can<br />
be permanently assigned or received by a DHCP server.<br />
