OD POLSKI DO ZIELONEGO PRZYLĄDKA<br />
Na wrocławską zimę 2011–2012 organizatorzy Ethno Jazz Festivalu „zaopatrzyli” nas<br />
całkiem nieźle. 6 grudnia Aga Zaryan zaśpiewa nową płytę – polską wersję albumu<br />
z wierszami Miłosza „Księga olśnień”. 7 grudnia wystąpi izraelski zespół Alila Band, wykonujący<br />
arabsko-indyjsko-bałkańsko-afrykański ethno fusion. 18 grudnia usłyszymy Sarę<br />
Tavares z Wysp Zielonego Przylądka. 15 stycznia poznamy Atom String Quartet, uznany<br />
w zeszłym roku za nową nadzieję polskiego jazzu. 5 lutego w towarzystwie zespołu<br />
Kroke zaśpiewa Anna Maria Jopek, a 26 lutego z akordeonowym Motion Trio zagra<br />
Leszek Możdżer. Wszystkie koncerty odbędą się w Synagodze pod Białym Bocianem.<br />

FROM POLAND TO CAPE VERDE<br />
The organisers of <strong>Wrocław</strong>’s Ethno Jazz Festival have “stocked” up pretty well for winter<br />
2011-2012. On 6 December Aga Zaryan will sing her new CD – the Polish version of an<br />
album of Milosz’s poetry, The Book of Revelations. On 7 December the Israeli group Alila<br />
Band will perform Arab-Indian-Balkan-African ethno fusion. On 18 December we’ll hear<br />
Sara Tavares from Cape Verde. On 15 January you’ll meet the Atom String Quartet, recognised<br />
last year as the new hope of Polish jazz. On 5 February, Anna Maria Jopek will<br />
sing accompanied by Kroke, and on 26 February Leszek Możdżer will accompany the<br />
accordion-based Motion Trio. All concerts will take place in the White Stork Synagogue.<br />

Teatr Polski we <strong>Wrocław</strong>iu od 7 do <strong>30</strong> grudnia organizuje przegląd spektakli jednego z najciekawszych<br />
polskich reżyserów, Jana Klaty. Na Scenie na Świebodzkim zobaczymy „Utwór o Matce i Ojczyźnie”<br />
B. Keff – obraz złożonych relacji matki i córki na tle historycznych i społecznych napięć, „Ziemię obiecaną”<br />
W. Reymonta – refleksję nad mechanizmami kapitalizmu prowadzącymi do rezygnacji z ideałów<br />
w imię walki o pieniądz, oraz „Szajbę” M. Sikorskiej-Miszczuk – polską „political fiction”, utrzymaną<br />
w stylu skeczy Monty Pythona i kreskówki South Park.<br />

KLATA FEST<br />
From 7 to <strong>30</strong> December the Polish Theatre in <strong>Wrocław</strong> has organised a review of plays by one of the most<br />
interesting Polish directors, Jan Klata. On the Świebodzki stage you’ll get to see B. Keff’s Song of Mother and<br />
Motherland, a picture of the complex relations between mothers and daughters set against a background<br />
of historical and social tensions, W. Reymont’s Promised Land, a reflection on the mechanisms of capitalism<br />
leading to the abandonment of ideals in the name of the struggle for money, and M. Sikorska-Miszczuk’s<br />
Szajba (Madness), a Polish “political fiction” in the style of Monty Python sketches and South Park cartoons.<br />

MUZYCZNE POGRANICZA<br />
Odkrywczy, niezależni, nieskrępowani scenicznie i oddani dźwiękom – tak można opisać w skrócie<br />
formację Paristetris, która 9 grudnia wystąpi we wrocławskim klubie Firlej. Ich twórczość trudno zamknąć<br />
w definicji któregokolwiek gatunku; próby te umieszczają ją na pograniczu avantpopu, elektroniki, awangardy<br />
czy miejskiego folku. Projekt tworzą: animator sceny niezależnej i laureat „Paszportu Polityki” Macio<br />
Moretti (perkusja), wybitny pianista jazzowy Marcin Masecki oraz argentyńska wokalistka o niezwykłej<br />
barwie głosu – Candelaria Saenz Valiente. Na basie zagra Bartek Tyciński. Wizualizacje: Robert Bęza.<br />

MUSICAL BORDERLAND<br />
Visionary, independent, theatrically untrammelled and devoted to sound – in a nutshell, Paristetris, who<br />
will perform at the Firlej Club in Wroclaw on 9 December. Their work is difficult to pinpoint within the<br />
definition of any genre; those who try place them on the borderline of avantpop, electronics, avantgarde<br />
and urban folk. The project consists of Macio Moretti (drums), a mainstay of the independent<br />
scene and winner of the “Policy Passport” prize, outstanding jazz pianist Marcin Masecki and<br />
Argentinian singer Candelaria Saenz Valiente, who has an unusual timbre of voice. Bartek Tyciński<br />
