PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS <strong>Open</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>Adults</strong> & <strong>Seniors</strong><br />

Do you already know how <strong>to</strong> use your camera, but want <strong>to</strong> know how <strong>to</strong> create better pictures? Then this is the<br />

class for you! Bring your camera <strong>to</strong> this class and learn how <strong>to</strong> take better pictures of people and nature. This will<br />

be a 4-week class with in-class demonstrations and homework assignments that will strengthen your skills when<br />

taking portraits, still life, and landscape pho<strong>to</strong>graphs.<br />

Each participant will need <strong>to</strong> bring their own digital camera and the instruction manual if you have it.<br />

Ever thought about writing a book, or perhaps you’ve already started one, but you don’t know how <strong>to</strong> write a proposal<br />

or find a publisher? Milwaukee author and Journal Sentinel PolitiFact reporter Tom Kertscher, a Cedarburg native,<br />

will share his experiences in getting two books published. He will provide information on developing a book proposal<br />

and seeking out publishers and agents. The class is also a great opportunity <strong>to</strong> get your questions answered. Tom’s<br />

books are “Cracked Sidewalks and French Pastry: The Wit and Wisdom of Al McGuire” (University of Wisconsin<br />

Press) and “Brett Favre: A Packer Fan’s Tribute” (Turner Publishing).<br />
