16 BASIC DRAWING Open to Adults & Seniors Have you always wanted to draw? Learn the basics of drawing. How to see what you are looking at, basic principles of perspective and shading techniques will be presented in this class. No previous experience necessary. Basic supplies need to include, at least, a #2 pencil, eraser & drawing or sketching paper (min. sz. 9 x 12). Instructor: Kay Gardner Adult Enrichment Continued BASIC DRAWING with COLOR Open to Adults & Seniors “Drawing with Color”. This class is designed for those who have had some experience in basic drawing. Interested in experimenting with color? You will have an opportunity to explore drawing with colored pencil, if you choose to do so. #2 pencil, eraser, drawing or sketching paper (min sz 9 x 12), set of 12 to 24 colored pencils are the needed supplies for the class. Instructor: Kay Gardner WATERCOLOR Open to Adults & Seniors In this class you will learn the basic and intermediate techniques in Watercolor with demos and critiques in a fun and casual atmosphere. A still life will be available for subject matter. Samples are on display in our office. Supplies needed include a #2 pencil, eraser, watercolor paper pad, watercolor palette with mixing area, tube watercolor paints including – ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, permanent sap green, hookers green, raw sienna, burnt sienna, permanent alizarin crimson, cadmium orange, gambage (yellow), cadmium red, cobalt blue – watercolor brushes in a variety of sizes including a #10 round & 1” wash brush(flat), watercolor paper #140(11”x15” or 12”x16”), water jar and paper towels. Instructors: Leila Hentzen-Smith and Richard Smith are both members of the Cedarburg’s Artist’s Guild and the Wisconsin Watercolor Society and have exhibited in many juried shows in the area for over 50 years. They maintain a studio in Mequon.

Join us to find a new way to create your own expression of art. Supply list needed;#140 pound watercolor paper-any size, brushes(3 or 4 assorted), pencil for sketching, eraser, water container, towel or paper towels, acrylic paint in either bottles or tubes, bring photos or magazine pictures of what you would like to paint. Instructor: Judy Clemens – Samples of her work are on display in our office. Mah Jongg Open to Adults & Seniors Winds! Bams! Dragons! Learn an ancient game with a modern twist. Mah Jongg has been a popular game in America since the 1920’s. (Note: this is NOT merely matching tiles, sometimes erroneously called Mah Jongg.)Combining both luck and skill, you will find people of all ages. Although this game of Chinese tiles is played by 4 people, the play is individual so partners are not needed. Groups of “Mahj” friends play regularly for years, so come and see why so many people have enjoyed this game for so long! You too will be able to play after this class. Fee includes current National Mah Jongg league cards and materials.
