Your Support Team A team of volunteers and sta� provides you with local support, learning opportunities, and advice. As a volunteer, you will have the most contact with your local Girl Scout service unit support team, made up of experienced volunteers in your geographic area. Never hesitate to contact them, because your support team will guide and assist you in all things relating to Girl Scouting. If you have questions about the Girl Scout program, working with girls, resources for delivering the National Program Portfolio (National Leadership Journeys and The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting), or participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program and Chocolates and Magazines Program, plan to attend service unit meetings and events, or ask your service unit team at any time for answers, ideas and ongoing support. Volunteer Helpline & Resources When you need Girl Scout “customer service” support and advice and aren’t sure who to call – call the Helpline! A Helpline Advisor will either answer your questions himself/herself or direct you to a resource or the sta� person who can provide the assistance you need. The Helpline doesn’t replace training, service unit meetings, your service unit team or the website, but is available for tips, guidance, resource ideas and those times when you aren’t sure who to call �rst. The Helpline is sta�ed Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; call 770-702-9411 or toll-free at 1-800-771-4046, ext. 9411, or e-mail Helpline@gsgatl. org. After hours, you can leave a message and you will be contacted the next business day. Resource Centers are your Girl Scout libraries: the Mableton Service Center and the Dalton and Gri�n retail and meeting centers have a resource room where volunteers may check out books, videos, activity kits, �ags, posters and other materials whenever the center is open. Stop in to see what is available. Girl Scout Program Evaluations Girl Scouts strives to build girls of courage, con�dence and character who make the world a better place. That is true for our girls and also true for GSGATL and our national organization. To help measure the quality and impact of our programs and discover areas for improvement, you and your girls may be asked periodically to respond to surveys, participate in discussion groups, or serve on special committees. Our members are our greatest resource and your honest opinions help us grow stronger year by year. Helping GSGATL Ful�ll the Mission When girls succeed – so does society. Together we can get her there! Annual Fund The Annual Fund is essential to the mission of Girl Scouts. Unlike the $12 annual membership fee which supports Girl Scouts on a national level, Annual Fund dollars stay local. These local funds make it possible to provide and expand leadership development experiences to girls in the Greater Atlanta area. Currently, we reach over 42,500 girls, but this is only about 8% of the girls in our area.
