Figure 27 displays the extent of Focus Basin 4. It is essentially bisected by Lawyers<br />
Road from north to south. There is a substantial impoundment located in the center of<br />
the basin that could be retrofitted to provide detention and additional water quality<br />
treatment. The pond is currently poorly maintained and possibly a source of sediment.<br />
The headwaters of the basin are located at NC 51 and dominated by Queens Grant<br />
School. Bain Elementary School has an existing rain garden that treats a portion of a<br />
parking lot. Additional infiltration features should be retrofitted into the site. The basin<br />
is typified by agricultural plots with large lot residential and less medium density<br />
residential.<br />
