Notes and tone periods<br />

The table which follows, gives the recomm<strong>en</strong>ded ,tone period> settings for notes in the<br />

usual ev<strong>en</strong> tempered scale, for the full eight octave range.<br />

The frequ<strong>en</strong>cy produced is not exactly the required frequ<strong>en</strong>cy because the ,tone<br />

period> setting has to be an integer. The RELATIVE ERROR is the perc<strong>en</strong>tage ratio<br />

of the differ<strong>en</strong>ce betwe<strong>en</strong> the required and actual frequ<strong>en</strong>cy.<br />
