Transi<strong>en</strong>t program<br />

A CP/M utility program such as PIP, which can be loaded into the TPA and run by<br />

typing its name at the keyboard.<br />

Truncated<br />

A number or string that has be<strong>en</strong> short<strong>en</strong>ed by removal of leading or trailing<br />

characters. Where int<strong>en</strong>tional, the process may involve rounding the value. Where<br />

unint<strong>en</strong>tional, the extra characters are simply discarded to <strong>en</strong>able the number or<br />

string to fit the available space.<br />

Truth table<br />

The results of a logical operation are either 'true' or 'false'. The computer interprets<br />

these as being either 1 or 0, and the truth table lists the possible results of a logical<br />

operation (I FA> B THE Ne) accordingly.<br />

Turnkey<br />

A word used to describe a program which executes automatically wh<strong>en</strong> the system is<br />

booted.<br />

Turtle<br />

A graphic symbol, in the shape of an arrow head, that functions as a graphic cursor on<br />

the Dr.Logo graphic scre<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Turtle graphics<br />

The graphics image left on the scre<strong>en</strong> by the movem<strong>en</strong>t of a turtle. As the turtle<br />

moves it leaves a trace of its path on the scre<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Turtle step<br />

The smallest distance a turtle can move. Normally one pixel.<br />

UDK<br />

User defined keys. The 6128 has up to 32 keys which may be redefined to perform a<br />

variety oftasks.<br />

Unsigned number<br />

A number with no prefix to signify whether its value is positive or negative.<br />
