Volume Envelope<br />

To make the volume vary within the duration of the note, you can specify a volume<br />

<strong>en</strong>velope using the separate command EN V. You can in fact make a number of<br />

differ<strong>en</strong>t volume <strong>en</strong>velopes, and like the SOU N D command, each has its own<br />

refer<strong>en</strong>ce number. If you have created a volume <strong>en</strong>velope with a refer<strong>en</strong>ce number of<br />

1 , and you wish to use it in a SOU N D command, th<strong>en</strong> where the parameter is required, type in 1. Creating a volume <strong>en</strong>velope will be explained<br />

shortly.<br />

Tone Envelope<br />

To make the tone or pitch vary within the duration ofthe note, you can specify a tone<br />

<strong>en</strong>velope using the separate command ENT. You can in fact make a numher of<br />

differ<strong>en</strong>t tone <strong>en</strong>velopes, and like the SOU N D command, each has its own refer<strong>en</strong>ce<br />

number. If you have created a tone <strong>en</strong>velope with a refer<strong>en</strong>ce number of 1, and you<br />

wish to use it in a SOU N D command, th<strong>en</strong> where the parameter is<br />

required, type in 1. Creating a tone <strong>en</strong>velope will be explained shortly.<br />

Noise<br />

is the last parameter ofthe SOU N D command. A range of noise is available by<br />

varying the parameter betwe<strong>en</strong> 1 and 3 1 . Add a parameter of 2 at the<br />

<strong>en</strong>d of the SOU N D command and list<strong>en</strong> to the effect. Th<strong>en</strong> change the <br />

parameter to 27 and list<strong>en</strong> to the differ<strong>en</strong>ce. Type in:<br />

10 sound 1,239,200,15",2<br />

Note the two 'blank' parameters (",) before the parameter of 2. This is<br />

because we hav<strong>en</strong>'t created a nor a .<br />

Creating a Volume Envelope<br />

The volume <strong>en</strong>velope command is EN V. In its simplest form, the command has 4<br />

parameters: The command is typed in as:<br />
